Longfield Care Home is a small, close-knit community in the pretty town of Maldon, Essex. Our experienced and friendly team take time to make strong bonds with the people who live with us, and their families. This enables a truly person-centred approach to care and makes sure everyone feels a real sense of belonging.

I honestly feel like Ashlyn Care Home has saved my mum's life.
She has put on weight thanks to the great food and regular meals which she didn't do for herself at home. Her mental health has improved thanks to regular stimulation from the chats with the team and the events the home plans. She wasn't keen to go into a home to start, but now she has a new lease of life and is very happy being part of the Ashlyn family. All the team we meet are friendly and helpful and were great with advice for me when my mum first arrived. I really can't thank them all enough they do an amazing job despite it being very challenging at times.

Living with us and our approach
Supporting the people who live here to remain happy and active is a daily focus for our dedicated and skilled team members. At Longfield, our enthusiastic Lifestyle Coordinators take time to talk to each person and their families to learn about their hobbies and interests. By learning about each person, our team can draw up a meaningful calendar of group and one-to-one activities, as well as regular day trips out.
People living here are gently encouraged to try something new l. Location and surroundings
In a quiet residential street off the pretty town of Maldon, Longfield is five miles south of the A12, with easy access to Chelmsford, Colchester and beyond. There are also frequent buses which stop just two minutes’ away.
We are within easy walking distance of high street shops, the health centre and library, with plenty of coffee shops and an ice cream parlour to stop in on the way.
Getting out for fascinating day trips is never a problem here, with the historic Beeleigh Abbey, the pretty Promenade Park on the River Blackwater and Heybridge Basin just on our doorstep.
