Day centres help improve people’s quality of life and extend their social circle, whilst enabling them to stay independently in their own homes. Day care can also provide much needed respite to those who care for a loved one.
A number of our Excelcare homes offer day care services. This provides a great opportunity for people who enjoy socialising and would like to spend the day building friendships and having fun.
Many people find that joining a day centre is a great way to maintain their wellbeing. With nutritionally balanced meals, opportunities to build new relationships with like-minded people, and a variety of engaging activities, each day offers enjoyable experiences that support both social connection and overall quality of life.
What’s a day like with Excelcare?
Our friendly team begins each day with a natter over tea, coffee and biscuits.
For those who come along to a day care service, they will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch along with the people who live in the home offering a new social experience for all.
We invite everybody to enjoy an afternoon filled with fun social activities, drinks, cakes, and friendly conversation.
Throughout different days of the week, you can enjoy a variety of activities, such as:

- Seated exercise
- Darts
- Bingo
- Quizzes
- Dominos
- Card games
