Goldenley Care Home is a serene and peaceful residence situated in the charming area of Benfleet, conveniently close to Canvey Island and Basildon. We take pride in providing exceptional residential care services as well as operating a Day Care Centre. Our dedicated team is committed to cultivating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that the people who live here, and also visitors feel a sense of belonging and comfort in our home.

I honestly feel like Ashlyn Care Home has saved my mum's life.
She has put on weight thanks to the great food and regular meals which she didn't do for herself at home. Her mental health has improved thanks to regular stimulation from the chats with the team and the events the home plans. She wasn't keen to go into a home to start, but now she has a new lease of life and is very happy being part of the Ashlyn family. All the team we meet are friendly and helpful and were great with advice for me when my mum first arrived. I really can't thank them all enough they do an amazing job despite it being very challenging at times.

We offer residential care that is person-centred. Our Day Centre, where our team supports older people from the local community, is open from 9:30-3:30pm. We provide a close-knit community that puts sociability, comfortable living and expert care front and centre.

As part of our ethos to promote wellbeing, we host a wide variety of activities for the people who call Goldenley home. This includes cooking classes, arts and crafts, quizzes and games to promote cognitive skills. We also host intergenerational activities with local schools and invite Pets as Therapy (PAT), which are always thoroughly enjoyed.

At Goldenley, the happiness and fulfilment of each individual residing in our home is of the utmost importance. We plan activities that stimulate the minds of the people who live here and foster meaningful relationships within our community.
Furthermore, we offer a specialised range of activities designed specifically for individuals living with dementia. These include music therapy, reminiscence sessions, and the highly regarded Namaste Care program. Namaste Care focuses on engaging the senses to promote positive wellbeing and enhance overall quality of life.

Location and surroundings
Just off Benfleet’s High Road, Goldenley is a short walk from the local shops and library and not far from great day-trip locations like Hadleigh Castle, Leigh cockle sheds and Southend’s lively seafront.
We are also close to Westcliff-on-Sea, Basildon and Canvey Island; a couple of minutes from the A13 and A130 and two miles from the A127, giving easy access to the M25 and beyond. Our nearest train station is Benfleet, a 20-minute walk, and we are just 5 minutes from the main bus routes to Southend and Basildon.
