Osman 'Ozzie' Ertosun, Excelcare’s Chairman has pledged over £6000 to support the fundraising efforts of the Excelcare Foundation. This registered charity supports frontline team members when they face life-changing circumstances through illness or loss.

Throughout the year, team members across the Excelcare Group take part in various charity events to help raise funds for the Excelcare Foundation. Previous events include charity bike rides and walking challenges, but in May, seven brave team members decided to hop aboard the wing of a plane and do a sponsored wing walk for the Excelcare Foundation.

Chairman, Ozzie and Chief Operating Officer, Sam Manning, were joined by Gina (Home Manager), Andzelika (Healthcare Assistant), Amy (Lifestyle Coordinator), Wiktor (Maintenance Operative), and Anca (Home Manager) to embark on the challenge.

Ahead of the event, team members did their own fundraising efforts, alongside a group effort to raise funds in support of the people taking part. Four valued suppliers and established partners Bidfood, Nourish, Shred Station, and Fusion, came on board to sponsor the event and showcase further support to our fundraising efforts.

After receiving generous donations and support from valued partners, we raised a total of £3,678!

Excelcare Chairman, Ozzie, has since pledged to donate his own funds and round up the total raised to £10,000! These funds will make a significant impact on the work of our charity, and provide vital support to team members when they face the most challenging life circumstances.

Ozzie’s generosity is wholeheartedly appreciated by every member of the Excelcare Family, as one day, they may call upon the Excelcare foundation for help.
