The people living at Queens Oak Care Home have enjoyed marvelling at a hygiene display this week which was created to show their support to Infection Prevention and Control Week.
Infection Prevention and Control week is being honoured across the country this week, to highlight the importance of methods that help to prevent infection.
Over the last 18 months especially, everyone has become more educated about infection prevention, through wearing masks, sanitising frequently and recognising the importance of washing their hands. Ensuring they practise good infection prevention and control is a priority at Queens Oak and other care environments, to ensure the people living there remain healthy and well.
Ahead of this national week, team members at Queen’s Oak created an infection prevention and control display, containing information about good hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) and how to prevent infection through touch.
The display attracted a lot of attention and the people living there have been reading through the documents, posters and marvelling at the colourful display.
The week has helped to highlight the ongoing importance of infection prevention and control in a fun and exciting way for all.
