Here at Lime Court, we provide thoughtful and tender care for the people who live with us and visit our Day Centre. The commitment of our team members and our family-run atmosphere are what separates Lime Court from other care homes. Our objective is to ensure that people and their visitors remain happy, engaged and healthy.

I honestly feel like Ashlyn Care Home has saved my mum's life.
She has put on weight thanks to the great food and regular meals which she didn't do for herself at home. Her mental health has improved thanks to regular stimulation from the chats with the team and the events the home plans. She wasn't keen to go into a home to start, but now she has a new lease of life and is very happy being part of the Ashlyn family. All the team we meet are friendly and helpful and were great with advice for me when my mum first arrived. I really can't thank them all enough they do an amazing job despite it being very challenging at times.

Our Day Centre is an initiative that helps individuals to maintain close links with their local community, whilst enabling local elderly people to come and spend time with us any day of the week.

Living with us and our approach
Our passionate and sensitive approach to care makes living at Lime Court a comfortable and happy experience for all. Each individual’s needs and interests are at the heart of all we do.
We regularly promote fun ways to keep fit, such as our annual Sports Day, which is enjoyed by the people who live here, as well as visitors and team members! Plus, we were among the first homes to pilot the ‘Food First’ programme to boost nutrition. When it comes to the wellbeing of the animal-lovers amongst us, our regular visits from pets are always sure to bring smiles and laughter.

Location and surroundings
Lime Court is around 1 mile from Dovercourt and Harwich town centres and a short distance from the local shops and the seafront. Our home is only a 10-minute drive from the A120, which connects to Colchester, Chelmsford and beyond. Dovercourt train station is just 10 minutes away and the 104 and 103 buses to Colchester and Harwich run every half hour from 7am until midnight.
Lime Court is also near to Hamford Water Nature Reserve, Dedham Vale, Colchester and Walton-on-the-Naze for great days out.
